Classic Varga girl art to grace any home. This amazing stone litho printed film poster hails from 1944 and features the most beautiful artwork of the era by the famous pin-up artist George Petty. This beautiful film poster is ready to grace any wall and is a tribute to the magnificent Technicolour film in which William Powell reprised his persona from the title role of the 1936 "The Great Ziegfeld" and dreamt here of the kind of show he could produce in the glorious Technicolour of the 1940's. This film has some of the most brilliant examples of Metro Goldwyn Mayers finest stars including Fred Astaire, Lucille Bremer, Judy Garland and Gene Kelly to name but a few. Printed by Simmons Limited of Sydney this one has the smallest of tiny nicks in the bottom and top border to which we have applied very small squares of restoration tape.
