The artist Cliff Hirstle who was employed by Downton's agency was the chief illustrator for this 1958 film poster and his printed name appears at the bottom right. The backdrop of the poster portrays the setting of Liverpool with Stanley Baker playing the role of policeman who falls in love with Anne Heywood and sadly then discovering that her younger brother - David McCallum is an arsonist in this "Violent Playground" of Liverpool.
