Gorgeous 1956 Rank organisation film poster for "True as a Turtle". Superb watercolour painting by British artist Brian Bysouth of the sailing yacht "Turtle" on its adventures in the British channel. John Gregson and June Thorburn are pictured as they honeymoon on the yacht with a great supporting cast and adventures including a counterfeit gaming chip racket in a French casino. The artist was influenced at the start of his career by the Italian artists during this period. Super printing by Charles & Read of London and Harlow with gorgeous colours in the "Genevieve" tradition.Lovely condition folded film poster with no pinholes just a 1 inch closed tear at the mid-left border fold line edge repaired to the reverse with conservation tape.
