Edward G Robinson

Rare 1945 show bill from the Vaudette theatre printed on both sides and primarily advertising "the Woman in the window" the 1945 Film Noir directed by the great Fritz Lang. Edward G. Robinson is pictured as the academic who falls for the subject of a portrait played by Joan Bennett and then finds himself wound up in a web of murder and deception. This great piece of cinema history features an RKO Radio Pictures 1944 copyrighted image from the film and on the reverse the picture of the two stars of "The Woman in the Window". Half of the reverse is devoted to the weekly programme which includes no less than two special matinees for Sunday 8th April 1945 for "Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon" featuring Basil Rathbone in the title role based on the story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in which he takes on the Nazis in this 1942 film. These films were of course filmed in black and white. Great condition with no pinholes.
