The Vampire Lovers / Angels from Hell

This MGM/EMI X certificate double-bill dates from late 1970 and couples a Hammer film with a prior Fanfare production. Potentially 'The Vampire Lovers' could have been marketed with more of an accent on the lesbian and sexual theme but apart from the illustration of Ingrid Pitt and Kate O'Mara this was not the case. The artwork here is identical to the first release quad but cropped at the sides. The X certificate remains inconspicuous in exactly the same typeset as the first release the only difference being the ommission of the taglines "Beautiful temptress...or Bloodthursty monster?" and "...She's the NEW HORROR FROM HAMMER!" and the insertion of this new double-bill tagline.
