Charlton Heston is pictured as Moses in "The Ten Commandments" as he leads the Israelites in their exodus from Egypt. Cecil B. DeMille directs as many as 25,000 extras in this 1956 colour remake of the shorter 1923 black and white film from the same Director. This specially printed film poster with the ABC logo for their Birkenhead cinema was printed by Leonard Ripley & Co of London in co-operation with Rex Publicity of London who were responsible for publicity of the ABC cinema chain. The poster is dated Monday March 27th and relates to a six day showing of this film in 1961 when it was still hugely popular some six years after its first release and available uncut and at a more affordable price. The poster is folded as issued to the cinema with no pinholes and with brilliant colours.
