The Strawberry Statement

This is in the style of 'Easy Rider' and appeals to the younger audience with John Lennon singing 'Give Peace a Chance'. Film makers were looking to cash in as young people protested against the Vietnam war so here we have Bruce Davidson playing the student who has turned to become a free love advocate by fellow student Kim Darby. It ends up with a riot and a stand off with the Police and the National Guard. The film poster dates from 1970.
