The Secret of Blood Island

This is the original UK Hammer quad as can be seen by the tag-line "It's New-" This photo montage style was basic in design and James Carreras would no doubt have been more than delighted a year later when Tom Chantrell painted "The Nanny" and assisted with many of the pre-production illustrations which were to greatly assist with the banks' confidence in funding Hammer's projects. The film was also released as a double-bill with "The Night Walker" but this is a rare quad for the film just on its own. This film poster came from Malta and bears the Maltese film censors mark where the regular 'X' certificate would have been. Multiple pinholes around the border and some on the artwork, top left corner tip replaced and cross folds reinforced with archival tape to reverse. This poster was displayed at the State and Mayfair cinemas in Malta.
