The Secret of Blood Island

This is the original UK Hammer quad as can be seen by the tag-line "It's New-" This photo montage style was basic in design and James Carreras would no doubt have been more than delighted a year later when Tom Chantrell painted "The Nanny" and assisted with many of the pre-production illustrations which were to greatly assist with the banks' confidence in funding Hammer's projects. The film was also released as a double-bill with "The Night Walker" but this is a rare quad for the film just on its own. This was a popular film as we can see from the reverse that the cinema showed the film on the 16th & 17th March 1966 and again on September 15th 1968. The cinema manager has poster painted out the X certificate.
