The Premature Burial

This British film poster for "The Premature Burial" came from an ABC cinema to promote the graveyard horror film from the story written by Edgar Allan Poe. The film poster is very interesting from a design point of view as it features different figures at the burial scene together with a different coloured coffin and differences in the font and typography. Rex Publicity were the firm employed by ABC to produce their point of sale film posters and the colours on this one are extremely bright and vibrant. Roger Corman was the director of this haunting film and the film poster comes complete with the X certificate but has been trimmed by the cinema for publicity purposes with a 1 1/2 inch closed tear at the mid left border which we have repaired with conservation tape to the reverse. There are no pinholes on this folded film poster.
