Ava Gardner is painted playing the part of the Duchess of Alba who was painted in a scandalous nude portrait by the Spanish painter Goya about whom this biography gives a revealing account. We can see the painting on this British quad film poster with actor Anthony Franciosa who plays Goya protecting the Duchess' modesty.
