The Law and the Lady

"The Law and the Lady" 1951 film poster is in colour and litho printed for what was a black and white film made in 1951 from the 1920's play by Frederick Lonsdale "The Last of Mrs Cheyney". The story features Greer Garson as the sacked house maid and Michael Wilding as the ne'er do well who joined forces for con tricks against the wealthy high society members. The film poster has an embossed print at the lower right and is the style A version. Great old 1951 Metro Goldwyn Mayer US half sheet film poster picturing a bejewelled Greer Garson. Two old tears at left hand side of 6 inch and 7 inch repaired with tape to the reverse.
