Michael Caine is pictured here in a stunning image as the spy Harry Palmer in this classy thriller "The Ipcress File" This is a rare 30 x 40 inch original film poster printed on the thicker card and featuring the National Screen Service date of 1965 together with the title. Producer Harry Saltzman cast the virtually unknown Michael Caine for a film designed to parallel the Bond movies which Saltzman also co-produced. The story is cunning and humorous as KGB operatives in the British secret service are uncovered. Superbly directed by Sidney J. Furie the film even has a great music score from John Barrie. The acting performances are superb. This stylish film poster features scenes from the film on Michael Caine's sunglasses together with a super London street scene complete with British Bobby's and double decker buses at the lower left of the poster. A magnificent Universal Pictures film poster in rolled condition as issued to the cinema.
