The Ipcress File

This super first release 1965 film poster for "The Ipcress File" is by the Spanish artist Jano whose printed signature appears on the poster. Michael Caine is painted superbly in the role of Harry Palmer with a sexy Sue Lloyd seated cross legged sporting a hand gun. The spy novel was written by Len Deighton and producer Harry Saltzman came up with the name Harry Palmer casting a then unknown Michael Caine in a calculated way to appeal to fans of James Bond. The film poster displays very well as seen but does have historic water stains to the reverse, which can be seen if one looks carefully just under the title and a very feint stain on the shirt collar. This paper is very fragile and we have applied some acid free restoration tape along some of the fold lines to protect the film poster. This is a hard to find poster.
