The Great Dictator

This is an important early re-release UK Quad film poster judging from the printers name Stafford & Co. Ltd. Netherfield, Nottingham: and London for the classic satirical comedy made in 1940 in black and white "The Great Dictator". Charlie Chaplin is wonderfully pictured applying comic barber shop action in his first dialogue picture satirising the Nazi regime as a Jewish barber with an unmistakable image of the Fuerher. Charles Chaplin produced, wrote and directed this comedy masterpiece and later revealed he did not know at the time the true extent of the real Nazi horror when making this anti-Semetic burlesque film. The border has some paper replacement at the right top border and an archivally repaired closed tear of three inches in the middle left edge. Wonderful colours and truly great graphics. Wonderful colours and a great film poster.
