Sam Peckinpah writes the screenplay for this large budget U.S. cavalry film featuring a young James Caan set for a promising career and playing the part of a strong minded soldier Dugan here. The poster art details Indians charging cavalry soldiers and is atmospheric. For information the artist for the LP. soundtrack is Frank McCarthy. This is the original first release 1965 folded condition film poster with a couple of pinholes in each corner date written 27th April 1969 Draperstown in red biro on the reverse. The film poster was used for the theatrical release in Northern Ireland. It was very usual for film posters and the films in tin cans to do the rounds in Northern Ireland and the writing on the back indicates that this one found its way to a village near Londonderry for a theatrical showing.
