The Giant of Marathon

Mario Bava was the uncredited director together with Jacques Tourneur for this first release film poster starring Steve Reeves in dazzling colour and fine paintings of Mr Universe and Mylène Demongeot as Andromeda. Superb painting by Renato Fratini in 1960 and interesting as the agency he worked for Downtons used other distributors than Rank - this example being from Metro Goldwyn Mayer and proving the versatility of the great Italian artist Renato Fratini and showing how his reputation had really grown through the 1950's. Closed tear by Reeves' ankle measuring 1 inch. Printed by the Haycock Press of London with great colours.
