The Flying Missile

This very early 1950 Columbia pictures film poster has the added benefit of wonderful stone litho printing, magnificent colours and the impressive large lady with the lamp Columbia Pictures logo. There is a great threepenny bit British Board of Film Censors 'U' certificate together with printing by Stafford & Co. Ltd of Netherfield & Nottingham with an early stock number. The film poster has many areas of paper loss as seen at the centre fold joins with paper loss along the left side of the horizontal fold line and lower at the bottom left and right vertical fold lines. A great old image with great colours and no fading. The film poster has an Art Deco look and is very interesting as it deals with the fascination of flying missiles following their successful deployment at the closing stages of World War II.
