The Devils

This is the 1971 first release original film poster for Ken Russell's film "The Devils". The director adapted Aldous Huxley's "The Devils of Lodun" creating this frenzied and surreal hallucinogenic historical horror film which caused much controversy with Oliver Reed giving a controversial performance as the 17th century French priest and Vanessa Redgrave as the humpbacked nun. Printed in England by Lonsdale and Bartholomew portraying the Warner Bros. shield and A Kinney Leisure service. Clever Chantrell artwork reminiscent of The Witchfinder General. The film poster is in folded condition and has had a little help from us with restoration tape in a few areas to the reverse but is in good condition for a difficult to find film poster with such a lot of white in the background.
