The Curse of Frankenstein

Peter Cushing is pictured here as Baron Victor Frankenstein in the 1957 film "The Curse of Frankenstein". Peter Cushing is the demented Baron wishing to resurrect the dead with Christopher Lee playing the hideous creature who goes on to prove his mad theory is correct. This Hammer film had brilliant direction offering a gruesome atmosphere and was the Hammer classic that really put Hammer House of Horror at the front. This is the still that was sent to Granada Television in Manchester to promote the film when shown on television for Granadas "Appointment with Fear" showing of "The Curse of Frankenstein" on Monday September the 18th at 10.30 pm. The original Granada television typed synopsis complete with their logo was attached to the photo. The photograph was supplied to Granada for the showing in the early 1970's but we are not sure how old it is and whether it pre-dates this, maybe even from the date of the first release in 1957?
