Ira Levin wrote the novel about the cloning of Adolf Hitler's body tissue in order to produce identical little boys to revive the third reich. Gregory Peck who normally plays good guys could not have a more radical change of role as here he plays the infamous Doctor Josef Mengele the genetic engineer. James Mason plays his accomplice with Laurence Olivier as the Nazi Hunter Simon Wiesenthal who tracks them down. A classy thriller film poster for this Lew Grade presentation from 1978.
