Directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm) this is a true piece of fantasy. The zombie guards appear in bondage, the animals perform stunts and battle for their master muscleman Marc Singer as Dar. Rip Torn plays the evil magician Maax. The artwork by Josh Kirby is superb and captures the sword and sorcery animal ambience perfectly.
