The Amazing Mr Blunden

"The Ghosts" written by Antonia Barber is adapted and directed by Lionel Jeffries. Jeffries later directed "The Railway Children" and has a sympathetic approach. The poster art has an ethereal quality suiting the film perfectly. The artist was a Polish fighter pilot who flew Spitfires in World War 2 and produced amazing pre-production artwork for the film 'The Battle of Britain' The characters are portrayed excellently with Diana Dors warty presence given a back seat so as not to frighten the ghosts from coming back.
