Tarantula!

Superb 1955 first release film poster for the classic science fiction horror film "Tarantula!". Great stone litho printing with superb colours. The desert was the location for scientists trying to solve world famine and injecting a spider with special nutrients. The effect of this on the spider caused it to grow to a giant size resulting in it escaping and eating its way through the local cattle and then moving onto human prey. Clint Eastwood makes an early film appearance in the role of a jet pilot. This Australian daybill was printed by F. Cuninghame & co of Sydney and was purchased from a New Zealand cinema by ourselves. Excellent folded condition no pinholes.
