Spaced Invaders

Renato Casaro's highly detailed artwork was also used for the Medusa home video release of this highly popular science fiction movie. In 1982 Steven Spielberg fuelled the interest in aliens from outer space and here we have pictured one with a finger just like E.T. the extra-terrestrial. The classy artwork pictures the contact from Earth with the aliens who enjoy a variety of Earth-like clothing, a walkie-talkie and even a pennant flying above their strange looking space-ship. The printed signature of the artist "R. Casaro" appears on the film poster around the space-ship. This film came in the same decade as "E.T" and the poster dates from 1989. The title is a nod to the Japanese arcade game classic 'Space Invaders'. There are blu tac stains in the corners from display.
