Soldier Blue

This is the cult Western British Quad first release film poster from 1970 for Ralph Nelson's 'X' certificate "Soldier Blue" with title song by Buffy Sainte-Marie. The film is the story of the Sand Creek massacre of 1864 when the US cavalry committed atrocities to the Cheyenne including the women and children. The film featured extreme violence and ran into trouble with the British Board of Film Censors. Printed in England by W. E. Berry of Bradford with very bright colours, pinholes in the corners and a very small area of paper infill to the right mid-border edge as seen.
