Smiley

This 1956 original first release film poster for the Alexander Korda presentation "Smiley" has a fine painting of the British actors including Ralph Richardson as the Reverend driving the car, John McCallum and Chips Rafferty by the British artist Tom Chantrell. The young boyhood star Colin Peterson interestingly went on to be the drummer in the pop group the "BeeGees". The film poster has an Australian look and was filmed there but is a British Cinemascope picture released by 20th Century Fox. Printed by Stafford & Co. of Netherfield, Nottingham and London with bright colours and a couple of small holes along the upper left fold line.
