Sleeping Beauty / Treasure Island

This double bill is a re-release for "Sleeping Beauty" and dates from the 1970's. The printers name "S. & D.S. Ltd. Printed in England" The artwork for both films is impressive with excellent attention to detail. The live-action Disney "Treasure Island" featured the extraordinary performance of Robert Newton as Long John Silver. Newton was engaged for the sequel four years later on the condition that he could still drink copiously, lurch about and still remember his line"Aaargh, Jim lad!" The art was partly inspired possibly from Arnold Beauvais 1950 Quad. Brilliant colours with a very small historic tape mark at the top left border and tiny paper infill in the corners.
