ITC Entertainment The Screen of the World Vintage Poster

This special one-sheet was commissioned by Sir Lew Grade for the ITC Entertainment Company which was part of ATV. The many screen stars painted all featured in ITC films and TV shows and Sir Lew Grade was very proud never to have needed a written contract with any of them as he believed trust and word all important. The catalogue was later to appear on Precision Video with the infamous perspex fragile box case reputedly ordered in such vast quantities that even though unsuitable for use it continued to be supplied with all Precision video releases for the lifetime of the Company. The film poster artwork bears the signature of Tom Beauvais - the talented British artist who worked closely with Tom Chantrell. We know of no other film poster with so many great likenesses of actors and actresses from different films on one poster. Just some of the stars include Roger Moore, Richard Burton, Telly Savalas, David Niven, Charles Bronson, Denholm Elliott, Robert Powell, Sophia Loren, Robert Mitchum, Sarah Miles, Gregory Peck, James Mason, Clayton Moore, The Muppets - Kermit, Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear, Klinton Spilsbury. This is a rare surviving tribute from the 1970's printed in England by Leonard Ripley & Co. Ltd. of London. Folded poster with no pinholes. We have replaced four of the corner tips off the artwork as seen using conservation tape to the reverse as seen.
