Rommel - Desert Fox / White Feather

Lovely stone-litho printing for this 1950's double-bill film poster which features the CinemaScope logo and a great painted picture of James Mason in the role of Erwin "Rommel - the Desert Fox" (1951) in action. Rommel was possibly the greatest tactician of all the German generals in the Second World War and was most famous for the pictured campaign stretching into Egypt in which desert warfare was exceptionally hard. When Rommel had to return to Germany for medical treatment the fortunes always changed for the worst for the Germans on the battlefield. "White Feather" is the 1955 cavalry and Cheyenne Indian Western starring Robert Wagner in a film with great early CinemaScope photography. A stunning old cinema poster printed in England by the Electric (Modern) Printing Co. Ltd. The folded poster has great colours with just a few pinholes in each corner and some title writing on the reverse which does not show through to the front.
