Rio Bravo

This is the British Quad film poster from 1959 for the Howard Hawks directed Western classic "Rio Bravo". The simple, clean impressive design stresses the character of the three leading actors whose story the film tells. We have Ricky Nelson and his guitar and gun featured together with a cameo paying tribute to his musical talents together with Dean Martin. The whisky bottle is pictured reminding us of the opening sequence when the likeable Big Guy John Wayne saves the drunken Dean Martin's dignity in this a brilliant study of male friendship. Not to be overlooked Angie Dickinson is pictured as "Feathers" don at the bottom left. Printing is by Stafford & Co. Ltd. of Netherfield & Nottingham and this piece has been linen backed by Studio C of California and is ready for framing.
