Film Year: 1967 Size: 20 x 30 inch
Condition: B Grade
Reference: Draw 1 small Italian folder
Stars: Dir: Ken Loach, Carol White, Malcolm McDowell

This is Ken Loach's first feature film which was to pave the way for later films and tv plays exploring working class themes. Stark black and white artwork wholly appropriate here for this 1967 film poster for "Poor Cow". An "X" certificate film looking at the tangled love life of teenager Carol White. The film deals with many controversial characters including White's prostitute Aunt played by Queenie Watts, a thieving lover John Bindon who is sent to prison and a debut by Malcolm McDowell as Billy. The film poster has clever use of stark silhouette with a title in red. This double-crown has three archivally repaired tears at the bottom which do not affect the artwork and are as seen. The paper is thicker like card
