Playbirds

Billed as a murder/thriller - but fooling nobody! This film poster has the look of 'The Sweeney' which was released the year before. In 'Playbirds' the police while investigating the murder of centrefolds are drawn into the seedy Soho world of pornography. The strap line reads "A Murder Thriller with Thrilling Bodies!" and Chantrell's artwork is for fun but whilst giving true likenesses of all the stars even including Windsor Davies. The poster features Chantrell's printed name and this is a classic example of his work and attention to detail. There is an area at the top right corner of paper infill with archival tape and neat colour matching of the blue sky at the centre foot of the poster the paper was a bit weaker and we have applied a little archival tape to the reverse. The poster displays well and the colours are really bright. A good opportunity to buy this rare poster at a cheaper price.
