Playbirds

Billed as a murder/thriller - but fooling nobody! This film poster has the look of 'The Sweeney' which was released the year before. In 'Playbirds' the police while investigating the murder of centrefolds are drawn into the seedy Soho world of pornography. The strap line reads "A Murder Thriller with Thrilling Bodies!" and Chantrell's artwork is for fun but whilst giving true likenesses of all the stars even including Windsor Davies. The poster features Chantrell's printed name and this is a classic example of his work and attention to detail. This one is in very good folded condition with no pinholes but does have a 1 inch closed tear at the top right and a small nick at the bottom centre fold line both of which we have repaired with acid free tape.
