Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii

Shot in and around an accent amphitheatre among the ruins of old Pompeii the music of Pink Floyd lends itself very well to visual representation. And here we have the film poster which pays tribute also to the 1972 recording "Dark Side of the Moon" including the iconic light refraction prisms. The gold and pink work really well and this simply designed film poster is a visual treat. Printed in Australia this one came to us directly from a New Zealand cinema. Gold is a very difficult colour to create on posters but here there is even a really good effect where the name "Pink Floyd" appears to stand out as the light catches it at the bottom gold section. This film poster has two small paper lift thin sections as seen in the pink area where showtimes were displayed and has a date written in red at the foot. There is also a little black showing through some of the fold to the right of the gong. Two horizontal folds and no pinholes.
