Papillon

Henri Charriere's autobiographical account of his escape from Devil's Island is amazing material for McQueen and Hoffman to work with. They are the focus of the poster as single minded determination is explored as they plot their escape from the island. Wonderful acting performances. The minty green background colour to this one really brings out the gritty realism of McQueen and Hoffman's portraits by Tom Jung featuring the artists printed signature by the chains around Steve McQueen's neck. Rolled condition film poster, the best condition we have seen on this film which is difficult to find - there is just a feint vertical fold line at the left side, and slight mark at the left mid border as seen.
