Following the success of "Apocalypse Now" Francis Ford Coppola directed this musical romantic fantasy about two sets of lovers in Las Vegas. Coppola used new video techniques and the airport at Vegas was recreated in his Los Angeles studio. Despite these favourable reviews, this brave move nearly bankrupted Coppola.
