Nightmare

Highly atmospheric British film poster from the year 1956 with an amazing image of Edward G. Robinson cast as the detective who can see a flaw in a seemingly open and shut case. This black and white film was shot by the cameraman Joseph Biroc whose photography coupled with a great jazz score by Herschel Burke Gilbert make for a moody and jumpy detective thriller of the first degree. Printed by Stafford & Co. of Netherfield, Nottingham and London this British quad film poster is a rare survivor. Fantastic deep colours it comes in folded condition with many pinholes down the right and left borders some of which encroach just onto the green and yellow but none on the artwork itself. We have applied a few small areas of conservation tape to the reverse at the borders.
