Nightmare

This Hammer Films first release 1963 film poster is for the horror film directed by the talented cameraman Freddie Francis. The film was made in black and white but this full colour film poster stresses the frightening paranoia suffered by pretty English actress Jennie Linden as she gets taken to a dark, foreboding country house having had nightmares about being confined to a mental institution. It isn't very long before the screaming starts and things start happening at night including murder and sexual imagery. This film poster has pinholes in the corners and we have applied conservation tape to the top horizontal fold line.
