My Cousin Rachel

Richard Burton is pictured as the lover of Olivia De Havilland in this film based on the novel by Daphne du Maurier and set in 19th Century Cornwall. This one has parallels with the reverse of "Rebecca" for which Burton had an Oscar nomination for this his first Hollywood role. This is a first release 1953 20th Century Fox film poster and has haunting images of Olivia de Havilland who blows hot and cold in the film and proves many a problem for Burton. The colours are very alluring for what was of course a film made in black and white.
