Memphis Belle

The flying fortress "Memphis Belle" had flown 24 successful missions against the odds and this daylight bombing raid was to be it's last. Director William Wyler's brilliant short film uses diagrams to explain the mission and takes us onboard as the crew embark encountering flack and enemy fighters. Footage from the film was used in this 1990 feature, co-produced by Wyler's daughter, Catherine.
