This is the 1953 "Man in the Dark" British Quad film poster from Columbia Pictures and has the honour of being the first film released in 3D. Warner Brothers had been working on "House of Wax" but Columbia Pictures beat them to the release. The artwork for this crime thriller illustrates with its use of perspective and depth an insight into the new 3D cinema attraction with taglines "Exciting! Thrilling! New!". Printed by Stafford & Co. of Netherfield, Nottingham and London this folded British quad has a few marks as seen and wear to the left side border edge.
