This poster art is preferred by collectors to the U.S. version because of the balanced composition and the use of colour at the lower left which is striking when viewing the full size poster. Bill Gold's use of perspective is first rate with the gun barrel pointing the viewer in the face! Clint Eastwood is the cop Dirty Harry Callahan investigating ruthless killings of prominent criminals in San Francisco. He is ably assisted by a fine support cast including David Soul who went on to "Starsky and Hutch" fame. A magnificent film poster with printing by L Ripley and Co. Ltd.
