This fantastic rolled condition first release British quad film poster for the film directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder features the printed signature of the Great British artist Chantrell. The full colour artwork from the year 1980 pictures Hanna Schygulla as the Chanteuse risking her position within the Third Reich to smuggle her lover the composer Giancarlo Giannini into safety. Behind her is the German swastika and scenes of trains in war time Germany and battle scenes as the Germans advance with tanks and war planes. This great piece of artwork was produced by the British artist Tom Chantrell in a period when he worked in conjunction with Alan Wheatley Associates.
