Life of Brian / Airplane

A great comedy double-bill picturing two great films and including a really humorous tag-line "I'm Brian - Fly me" which was a reference to the 1976 10CC monster hit "I'm Mandy - Fly me" and changed to Brian from "Life of Brian". In the record the lyrics say "She called me through the poster and welcomed me aboard" which fits in perfectly here with subliminal advertising and fits the bill perfectly as does the design of the poster which is very similar in composition to the structure of the "How Dare You" album cover from 10CC. Gouldman the composer of the single saw an advert for United Airlines with a girl called Cheryl on it beckoning you with her finger to fly to Miami and realised the potential for a sexual innuendo involving flying which the designer of this poster has picked up on. Printed in England by W. E. Berry ltd this poster is from when these two films were first shown together in 1980 and a real treat for British cinema goers.
