For the LA scenes the inspiration for the costume designer came from Goldie Hawn in 'Shampoo'. The colour pink was chosen following Reese Witherspoon and the designer going to a college - sorority meeting for research purposes and finding everyone dressed in pink! Not to be outdone the dog and his lead follow suit.
