Lawrence of Arabia

Gorgeous very special hanging window card specially produced to help with fundraising for the British Red Cross with a special "Gala Charity Premiere" screening at Cardiff's Capitol cinema. This Country of origin film poster pre-dates the Academy Awards posters. Printed on thinner card this one features the best Lawrence artwork and includes all the old money prices in pounds, shillings and pence and even the old Cardiff telephone number printed on this special "Capitol Cardiff" printing at the head of the poster. This poster advertises the film to be shown in Super Panavision 70 Technicolor. The window card states "And Introducing Peter O'Toole" as the actor was by no means famous at this time of release although he had had some minor parts in other films interestingly. A great piece of rare cinema history being a specially produced item and in unfolded condition too. Very light creases on the left side of the card visible on the reverse and a small corner dent in the bottom left corner but otherwise in excellent condition with bold sharp colours.
