Jailhouse Rock

Very rare British front of house lobby card for "Jailhouse Rock" produced by MGM in 1957 and being one of the scarcer British lobby cards from the film because it features Elvis in a relaxed recording studio scene rather than one of the more common performance images. The British 'A' certificate logo is in the lower right corner dating it to the original theatrical release. The card depicts Elvis Presley rehearsing and playing acoustic guitar. Judy Tyler is seated listening to him. The wall behind them is a marvellous period detail displaying publicity photographs of contemporary MGM recording stars from the 1950's including Dinah Shore. This is a really lovely glossy British front of house card in great condition and with no pinholes. A really rare find and even more poignant as Judy Tyler was to die tragically in a car accident just days after filming was completed and before the release of the film.
