Invasion Quartet

A delicately balanced Spike Milligan is drawn by Ronald Searle peering through his binoculars with hand grenades dangling from his shoulder in this 1961 Second World War comedy film poster. The tag line pokes fun at the Fuhrer and we even have two wartime nurses complete with red lipstick to add to the glamour. The film would actually be viewed in black and white but a colour poster was employed to catch the eye. This first release film poster has a small size hole at the top right above the umbrella. A few small areas of restoration tape applied to the reverse.
