Iconic 1958 photo of John Mills in the role of Captain Anson for the classy 2nd World War film "Ice Cold in Alex". The Axis troops are seeking to bring an ambulance to safety across the desert after the fall of Tobruk in 1942 to reach Alexandria. The treacherous journey involves steering clear of salt marshes, sand dunes and mines and here pictured is John Mills who has to study maps to reach his well earned ice cold Carlsberg in Alexandria! The photo has a faint line across the top third.
